Setting aside his own abridgement, Jefferson did support the Virginia Bible Society in its efforts to ensure that any family in Virginia unable to afford a Bible could obtain one. He believed that the Bible contained useful lessons, in spite of its corruptions. At the same time, given his commitment to allow people to form their own religious beliefs, Jefferson pointedly argued that the Bible should be kept out of the hands of children, only made available after their own ability to reason independently had been established through study of history and philosophy.
He was baptized and raised Anglican and married and buried by Anglican ministers , but he rejected many of the tenets of that church. If a more precise label is sought, he might be labeled a Unitarian a theist who rejects the Trinity , although there are many variations in Unitarians some who believe Jesus was more than human, others who do not. Jefferson did believe that God actively engaged in time, sustaining creation on an ongoing basis; yet, in his rejection of Biblical miracles and belief that natural laws were the language of God, he certainly is deistic.

People often times single me out for being a christian. They just love asking me about touchy subjects to see my response. And this is because, unfortunately, there are so many christians who have this idea that the whole world needs to see things the same way they do. You see so much hate coming out of a religion that claims to preach peace and love.
Christians see it as protecting the bible but it just comes across as ignorant. Other people bravely tell them that they are already Christian, and another people feels sorry for their soul and tries to convey Trinitarian doctrine and the true gospel to them. However we are theology students who must defend our faith. And in order to defeat our enemy we must know our enemy. If you do not belong to the organization, no matter how much bible study you undertake, you cannot understand the bible.

The first video also claims that religion starts wars but it fails to feed the poor, while the second video states that religion is the largest worldwide source of relief for the poor and the hungry.
After all, religion is the largest worldwide source of relief, which allows some people to believe Jesus loves the idea of. It was a meaningless fraud and a lie. But the Son of God never supports self righteousness—not now, not then. Now back to the point, one thing is vital to mention: How Jesus and religion are on opposite spectrums. Religion makes you blind, but Jesus makes you see.
Religion is man searching for God, Christianity is God searching for man. Which is why salvation is freely mine and forgiveness is my own. Because He took the crown of thorns and the blood dripped down His face. And He absorbed all of your sin and buried it in the tomb. So for religion, no I hate it. In fact I literally resent it.
