Age of Heroes Headlines:. Thread: the best Heroes of Might and Magic? Poll Question: the best Heroes of Might and Magic? Lexxan Honorable Undefeatable Hero Unimpressed by your logic. I think not!!!! Zolmir Hired Hero. HOMM4 wasn't what I expected, but the huge amount of texts in the campaigns made it an exceptional game.
If only the following titles could maintain its legacy Society99 Adventuring Hero I am too much of a spammer! Heroes V is great but still riddled with far too many mistakes and hack jobs. Shoddy campaigns and translation diminish the atmosphere, and the creature lineups are pretty out of whack.
Heroes V has a far better battle system, skill system and map editor, though. Ghork Tavern Dweller. HOMM 2. SirJohn Adventuring Hero. I have all 5 installed but HOMM2 still has the magic after all these years. When you consider how old it is, and that it never had any mods like WOG or Equalibrius, it is amazing how this game still holds interest. This is the only game where I leave the music on. The other great things IMO are the continual growth of recruiting locations and the generally fun-looking creatures and animations.
JollyJoker Honorable Undefeatable Hero. The Add-Ons are lackluster, the additional conflux town is not to my liking an improvised town lacking originality , and in general the game is very unbalanced. Showing 1 - 15 of 15 comments. I havent tried 1 and 6 but I like 4 and 2 also 3 is worth checking. The heroes 4 is good apart from a few bugs that you might not notice. The heroes 5 is very nice also but the cutscenes are quite bad and haven't aged well but the real game looks nice as do 4. Heroes 2 is a real classic and there is not much to say other than get it!
Ship View Profile View Posts. I have been looking at 3 and yes, the graphics are the cause of my hesitancy. Despite that, what makes 3 the best? Was it a better story or mechanics? Heroes III has the most factions, and maaaybe the best balance between them.
So if you're looking for multiplayer, III is still real solid.
