To get the protein out of whole foods, your body has to expend energy on digestion. If you can find a way to rush protein to your sore and tired muscles, you can recover faster and hit the gym harder sooner. On its own, Shakeology might have a bit less protein than a standard protein shake. I go into lunch feeling full which helps to keep me from overeating and having a massive lunch. It tastes freakin awesome and I love it. I also do a lot of sitting at my computer managing my business, and we all know how mentally draining that can be.
The break is nice, but the energy I get from it propels me through the long afternoon. There are plenty of other products out there that we happily pay a premium for without even stopping to think. I usually do a whey protein shake with banana in the morning, protein bar for snack , turkey sandwich for lunch, pistachio for 2nd snack and recovery drink after workout. Im focused more on the fat shredder diet as you can see. Im looking to replace a meal with shakeology but do not know what to replace. The nutrition plan has way too many ingredients for the meals and im a simple eater!
I would recommend adding Shakeology into either your Breakfast or Lunch. However, within 20 minutes of the meal I was really hungry so I had a few strawberries and a nectarine.
I was excited to get back on the scale Wednesday morning and was pleased with another pound lost for a total of five pounds lost in two days.
My stomach felt flatter and I felt lighter overall. We started the morning with the mother of all P90X workouts, Plyometrics.
Mike and I were both dripping with more sweat than usual afterward. Surprise surprise, for breakfast I had Shakeology blended with half a banana, ice and water.
For some reason, this was the tastiest shake yet. I was pretty hungry by mid-morning and had a kiwi. Additionally, Wednesday night was my first TriClub swim workout. I made a tuna salad with a little more protein than recommended.
I mixed 1 can of tuna calories with some low-fat mayonnaise and added it to greens with cucumber, red pepper, onion and tomato. I mixed it all up with standard, calorie-free yellow mustard. This is one of my go-to salads for Phase1 of P90X as well.
I absolutely love tuna and mustard so it actually tastes really good to me! At about 2 p. Then it hit again — and luckily I had packed some extra snacks. I had two boiled egg whites and some carrots. I have my second Shakeology of the day because I was really hungry. I had hoped to hold out til 6 p. Since I was still hungry a 6 p. The workout ended up being mostly instruction and not as much swimming although still at least 1, meters , and by the time I got home and showered it was 9 p.
I happily made my last Shakeology with ice and half a banana and went to bed. My stomach is back to being perfectly flat as well. I wish I had taken measurements to see how many inches I lost, because I can guarantee that I lost a bit.
I was feeling very bloated, heavy and bogged down from all the heavy meals I had been eating, and the cleanse rid me of all of this!
